I have what I'm sure is a 10 inch Lodge skillet that's always in the oven, because I use it damn near every day. The reason I'm unsure of the size is because I got it for $5 from a Salvation Army yard sale. It's a Lodge though.
I have a stovetop reversible 2 burner griddle/grill that never leaves my stovetop.
Got a tiny skillet that came with a cookie mix for Christmas a few years ago. Perfect size for a single egg. It has a side job as a spoon rest.
Bought a 14" Emeril pizza pan from Ollie's for $15. I usually use it outside on the propane burner for steaks because it's a perfect fit on top of an old circle top burner I have.
I also have a 3 gallon Bayou Classic jambalaya pot.
Main thing I need is a 7 qt. Dutch oven.

I wonder why the 12" is so much cheaper than the 8"

8" is more popular?
We have both and use the 8" far more often... seems counter-intuitive, but I guess the difference in cost of raw material is pretty insignificant between the two at the volume they produce.

This may be a dumb question so please don't shoot me but can you cook with cast iron on an electric stove? I grew up with gas burners and my dad and mom always used cast iron but we always had a gas burner. Now, in my house unfortunately we only have electric.

Yes, had an electric range at my old place and used cast iron on it all the time.
ETA: Just don't stick it in the microwave. Or if you do, film the results.

I don't know where you're seeing that. The prices I'm seeing are $10.83 for an 8" and $22.26 for a 12" skillet.
I picked up a new 9" a week or so ago for $14.85. Even though they come preseasoned I think it's a good idea to season them yourself before use. I gave this a good wash and dry and then six consecutive passes through the oven with a fine coating of grapeseed oil. (Yes, I know flax seed oil is supposed to be the best. Don't care.) Its a heck of a lot easier to clean a young pan if you do that.
I don't know if six coats is overdoing it but I'm laying them on really thin. I'm really happy with the results. Maybe three would suffice but I've dealt with a poorly seasoned pan before and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
