I was really happy that BR did not have a Captain D's. I hope it tanks. I'm so sick of fast food restaurants on every damn corner.

No wonder beef prices are so high. Look how many hamburger places there are!

There was a location on the northeast side of town near Central when I was a kid. I don't know how long it lasted but it was still there in 1998.

I'm not sure what looks worse, the food or the forced smiles for the promo pic...

Funny, I thought he had a passing resemblance to you if you project about 15 years down the road...

Can't believe someone went for the broccoli.

Anyway, I haven't had Cap'n D's in forever but I remember it being interchangeable with LJS. From the pics it doesn't look near as greasy.

we have a similar profile. Thats about it. I'm not borderline ginger, either.

Cannot wait for 225 Magazine to award this the Best New Restaurant - 2016.

Right across from the full page Captain D's add.

Damn, people in this thread seem to be taking this personally. Is there some kind of weird law in Baton Rouge that if a new restaurant opens everyone in town HAS to go there?

Jesus, if you don't like Captain D's, don't go, but it's not like the end of the world. UNLESS, for some unknown reason you are required to go there.

Maybe their plan is to piggy-back Rally's re-introduction into the BR market and set up shop at all the bustling ghetto hotspots.

I usually eat at CDs once a month or so. I thoroughly enjoy their chicken strips, hush puppies, and sweet and sour sauce. their s-n-s sauce cannot be beat. Love the hush puppies.

Apparently you've never seen the buzz around here when a smashmouth, 5guys, or some other horrendous grease pit opens up. They love it (I know, not all of the people here) for some reason. I think it was an Arby's or something was opening a few months ago and it turned into a huge damned thread. Comical really.

Just thinking the same thing. And IIRC that food was not very good.
