Can anyone recommend an ice ball maker?

Was at a bar recently and some friends and I ordered some Blanton's with an ice ball. The bar had a Macallan Ice Ball Maker, so the bartender was able to crank out three ice balls successively. Of course, that thing costs over $1,000.
Anyhow, I see others on the market, but I don't know what separates them in terms of quality.
Thoughts?

You could just buy an ice tray that would do that.

You trying to be fancy and go beyond getting a handful of refillable molds?

I have read about issues with the molds...not sure how legit the online complaints are...
but that is certainly the cheaper route.

No love for the whiskey stones, or do you like to water down your Blanton's?

I have 3 large sphere molds and a square one that contains four smaller spheres. Not sure what there would be to complain about. They are just spherical ice trays.

We have 4 of the death star ice ball molds. They were only a few bucks each and work just fine.

I've got a mold that looks like the death star. Pretty cool if you're a star wars fan

Best product I've seen that makes clear ice balls, which melt slower and don't break apart.

Whiskey stones don't do jack shite. Huge gimmick.

I'll take pics of the ones we have.
They work well. Molds hold up. I'll find out who makes them too.

I have the 4 ball refillable mold provided by Maker's Mark that works fine for me. (promotional gift sent years ago for being an ambassador).
MAKER'S ICE BALL TRAY

This is the cylinder. It works great. We have the balls too. I'll upload that later. This one cylinder lasts about 3 drinks.

I want to try this.
That's a lot of work for the exact same result as putting an ice cube in the cup.

No. These things work awesome.
It's not a lot of work. Just fill them up, let them freeze, empty them into a gallon Ziplock you keep in the freezer.
They make good drinks because they don't melt as fast as regular machine ice, and keep the beverage really cold.
