Cajun Rocket Pot 1.5mm or 2mm

I am thinking about ordering a Cajun Rocket pot. I see an 80 qt 1.5mm and an 80 qt 2 mm. $50 price difference. Does .5 mm make that big of a difference to warrant the extra $50? Also, any dealers around Cenla? TIA

my setup I bought from Ace hardware in Millerville... cost was $348.78 exactly! it would probably be around 300.00 if I went with the single jet burner

For typical home use (3-10 boils/yr) I dont think you need the extra metal, but I would still go with the 2mm one with the drain valve.

Yes it does. Buy as thick as you can afford. Thicker is better in a pot.

Thanks for the responses. I have a 120 quart pot right(not a cajun rocket). That thing is massive and I freeze my tanks every time using it for some reason. Ive tried different burners and regulators with the same results. I am going with the 80 because it woild suit my needs.

What is the point of the drain valve?

I think somewhere in your questions lies your answer.
But in all seriousness instead of having to dump the water everywhere it helps slowly drain it or if you have things that flowed over into your pot they will stay in the pot with the drain valve.
