Went their a couple weeks ago and was blown away by the food. It's located in sunset which was very different. They are building an oyster bar soon In the bar which will really bring it up a notch.

The appetizers we got were the crabmeat egg rolls and the crawfish avocado. Both fantastic. The ribeye was cooked perfectly and seasoned. We will be back.

Cafe Josephine has excellent groceries , been there several times

the tuna tartar and hummus are legit

CJ reminds me of Catahoulas (closed) in Grand Coteau which was run by Chef Jude Tauzin

One of my favorite spots. They do a special with lemonfish topped with crabmeat in a lobster reduction sauce over angel hair that is divine

Another upvote for Cafe Josephine. I sang the praises of this place 3 years ago. Big menu and they seem to pull it off very well. Lively crowd and there was a definite wait to be seated when we were there on a Friday night. Glad to hear that it is still performing well, and worth the drive. We have not been there in 3 years due to it's location.

The dinner menu looks good. The lunch menu isn't nearly as enticing.
