First Maurepas goes by the wayside, and now Booty's is on an indefinite hiatus. Maybe the nonsense about this area of New orleans being a hipster haven will cease.

Too much crime and malaise going on in NOLA these days. I think the recent crime wave and unsafe sentiments are putting this gentrification we've seen on a lull.

Nah, Booty's product just got increasingly worse and worse until business tanked. Plus the owners took a ton of water with the Ursa Major disaster.

Bootys is gone? I literally just scrolled past a photo on Instagram of someone eating lunch there today.

As long as there's a Saturn Bar, there will be hipsters in Bywater.

Yeah the eatingnola Instagram account was at Booty's 4 hrs ago.

I think the skyrocketing rents and crime right there can't help.

There are a lot more restaurants in the Bywater to share the dollar with. More supply.

Last weekend there were a ton of hipsters out and about. There always are. Just depends on where you go.

I also read that the food was tanking there...And how stupid could they be to think an astrology based restaurant concept was going to have success in Nola (even though they blame the plumbing issues)??
