The less electronics the better. All high end units seem to fail at a faster rate than low end stuff. I get asked all the time which appliances will last the longest. The answer always is whatever is cheapest. A $400 stove will always outlast a $3,000 stove. Dad but true. The only reason why we make so much on repairing high end units it's because people have so much invested in them that they have to pay the $600 repair cost when a board goes out. Or pay for the $300 ignitor, or $250 simmer control unit.
It's crazy. Personally I have a jenair dual fuel and it has cost me $400 so far and that's wholesale with no taxes.
Get a cheap stainless frigidaire and it'll last twenty years.

What's funny is that you're posting about gas range recs online (evidence of doing some research) then taking the lazy consumer's avenue of buying a "suite" of appliances from a single store that will also sell you a mattress. What advantage do you gain by buying everything from one place? None. You are restricted to just a couple of brands. Shop for each piece individually.
You can get a NXR (mentioned earlier) for $2K from Costco. LINK
Or this one on sale for $1799: LINK

i completely agree!!! for this house, what's wrong with a good old $1k GE gas range? you have alot to choose from at this price range and i am insanely happy with my GE gas range i bought a few years ago.
there's simply no problems with it ever..i just pull the iron grates off once a week along with the burner parts & soap 'em up in the sink.
put them back and its like new.
completely troublefree. i like the convection oven too.

Frigidaire
I put this frigidaire in our current house. The burners have been great, but my favorite feature is the small second oven. Makes it real easy to cook your main dish in the large oven and a casserole or veggies in the small oven.
The NXR just looks badass though.
