Looking for a good price on a bushel of crabs in or near Baton Rouge for weekend. Any local sources for them?

Good luck dude. There’s no such thing as a good price for a bushel these days. I would call Tony’s.

FTR...Tony's employees won't know what a "bushel" means....

There are a handful of places in Port Allen and Addis that offer better prices than Tonys on crabs.
Maybe should retitled to looking for a direct price from a crabber with 30 miles of BR.

I got a bushel (5 dozen) last Saturday at a place I found on Instagram called crackin_claws. It was at the corner of Government and Eddie Robinson. $125 for the bushel. The price fell to $70 by 7pm. I only had one dead one (crushed.)

I’ve been getting my crabs and crawfish from a guy in Gonzales by Ralph’s, Doghouse Seafood
He posted today that he had a bushel of #2s for $100.

So, 5 dozen is now considered a bushel. Damn, how times have changed.
Then paying $25 a dozen on top of that, did I say "Damn, how times have changed!"
ETA: This makes buying crab nets seem like a good investment.

I hope they were as good as the ones we had.
