I enjoyed the band. I agree the layout needs to be more spreadout. Needs more lighting and more restrooms.

Homebrews are always a highlight of festivals for me. I didnt make it through the canoe because some tapped before I got to them. But mine was first to go.

Seems to be a common theme with beer festivals. For some reason organizers don't understand you're serving a diuretic and only place two port-a-johns in the corner. I went to a beer fest in Birmingham one year and they had tons of toilets. It was awesome.

I thought it was even better than Zapp's, because of the food and music. And the bathroom situation was better than Zapp's. They had real toilets and the lines moved pretty fast.

They had a second set of toilets near the front gate that little to no line all night.

Eta: completely agree about the lighting. Our club got lucky and brasseurs was smart enough to bring their own lighting, but some vendors were left in the complete dark.

Yeah, was worried about going that route though since we were there early to volunteer/set up and had no wristbands. The last thing I wanted was to go use the restroom and not be let back in.

Definitely need more space, and better lighting. And more food vendors, those lines were long.

Also, smaller cups... there is no need for a full pint (or at least 12 oz.) cup at a 4-hour beer festival. I think people tended to overpour the beers because of that.

One of the guys at the Bicycle homebrew was wasted. Poured me a full cup of one of the stouts.

But as soon as I was handed my cup I thought to myself how bad of an idea this could be. Especially after seeing some of the people in attendance who probably aren't used to suck high ABV beers.

I agree about the lighting and layout. Need to spread it out more and the food lines were long. But all in all, still had a great time and enjoyed some great brews.
