Will be going south on 49 then to Baton Rouge. Which exit should i take for boudin, ideally with multiple places? I have read the boudin threads in the past but its hard to choose because i want to stop at all. Dont have time today though.

It's been a while but ville platte has good boudin.... Just a little ways off of 49 though. You can take a right when you hit 10 and go to Scott, just a few miles west... Billy's, best stop and dons are all right there. If you do that get some Billy's boudin balls, they are the size of baseballs and pretty good. Those will be the closest to 10. Breaux bridge has some decent boudin, but again it's off 10 a bit.

Go west on I10 for 3 miles before going east. Stop at the Scott exit. You'll be able to get Billy's, Dons and Best Stop. Take photos and report back with the results.

I don't know why, but I just had Billy's boudin at the office and god damn that's the best boudin out there behind T-Jims blood boudin.

Billys pepper jack boudin balls may be the best fricking boudin related item I've had in my life.

And stop in Krotz Springs at Billy's and then get some cracklins at the little place in Erwinville and once you get into Baton Rouge go to Jerry Lee's and get some beef jerky. That sir is the delicious heart attack trifecta

Go west for a few miles to Scott then head north for 1/2 a mile. Best Stop will be on your left. It's called that for a reason.

I used to get the balls but that changed a trip or two ago. Now I just get the smoked boudin. That shite is awesome. I need to make a road trip.

OP can also stop at Billy's location in Opelousas .... 1 minute off I49 heading west on 190. hit the drive thru, and then get back on 190 heading east to BR

he can choose between 2 different cooked boudin; Billy's or Ray's

forgot to add..... take 190 to Lobdell Hwy (415) in Port Allen and stop at Bergerons. The smoked boudin is the real deal

if hungry for lunch, stop at Joe Dreyfus in Livonia

call to see if open, if so... turtle soup is a must

Yep good answers here.. Either go west on i10 to Scott or take 190 and hit up places in krotz springs. You should also stop at bourque's in port barre for jalapeño cheese sassige bread too.

Two good recs. I always get Billy's and the seasoned cracklings kick arse. Bourque's boudin is top shelf....great stuff.

I prefer Billy's regular boudin ball to the pepper jack version.

Love Best Stop boudin. We always stop there on the way back to Houston. I've got a freezer full of it.
