$125 seems a little steep especially if they run out of things.

Might have been the case years ago, but last year there was plenty of food to go around. Every group brings 1500 portions. They expect somewhere around 5K attendees. There are 49 chefs that participate (and one group of idiots who fell into a bbq contest). so 1500 X 50 is like 1 million portions or something.

And for SuperSaint they do offer a reduced tariff sale in August, where the ticket is $75. But this is New Orleans and no one does anything until the last minute.

Its a fun event, probably my favorite event of the year. World class food, drink, and entertainment.

And it's a charity event , not a Golden Corral.

Will be my third year in a row.

Pro tip: pace yourself so you don't get too full quickly - they rarely run out of shite.

If you see a huge line don't be afraid to try another entrance.

Also be on the lookout for swag - koozies, food items, etc.

Got some nice koozies from Fisher's in Orange Beach last year.

Head chef there was a super nice guy, great smoked mullet dip too.

We are doing a Caribbean spiced rillette on a rice cracker with some pickled peppers and a plantain mustard. And least that is the working plan.

Went a couple of years ago with a few other couples and had a blast. Good food & drink. Grace Potter was very good. Got to meet Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony. Prepare to fight the crowd, though.
