we can get Buffalo Trace in Texas for about $24-$28 per bottle, but usually a limit of 2 bottles. Never really a shortage.

Were you in Aspen or Vail? Its is about $28-30 at the big liquor store by the house here.

They had Blantons the other day for $80, it sold out in under an hour.

Aint Bourbon fun?

The neighborhood Chevron has the best liquor selection in town.

Bourbon isn’t the same as it was 2013-2017. Too popular now and prices aren’t going back down. Not to mention, it’s not a craze like some said years ago. I think it’s going to only get more expensive.

That Chevron barrel select cognac finish with a free car wash and fill-up is pretty sweet.

Me in BR visiting my son: “we need to find a liquor store”

Him pointing at gas stations and grocery stores: “there’s one, there’s one there’s one.”

It was a sign in a bar south of Denver. Not the liquor store, the bar was selling bottles.

Nearly every store has BT now in BR, no limit, $22-$25 a bottle.

I miss the days when you could walk into Hokus Pokus and buy Thomas Handy, MWND, Weller 12, and EHT single barrel, Blanton’s, among other rarities off the shelf.
I miss it but don’t miss it. I use to spend too much money there.

When did Blanton’s get so expensive? It used to be $45 a bottle?

It still is in that range. OP paid that gas station's inflated price rate like a fool

Wherever honest store owners operate. Available is a different question, but price that is your answer. For availability you either have to be lucky to drop into a Rouses, for instance, when they put it on the shelf (or a basket) or be an established customer at a liquor store that will let you know when they get some in. The reason you see it on shelves at $150 is because people really aren't paying that for it. Only suckers do that (sorry OP)

It's almost as if price can be determined by availability. Weird.

They should come up with an economic concept that describes that. Something like "availability and demand" or "supply and asking" or something.

^ spotted the fool who pays triple the cost of overhyped bourbon so that the cool kids will grant him approval

You should go hang out in the Harvest parking lot. I know a guy who sells there at your price point
