Black Drum Ceviche

Bought some wild black drum at Whole Foods. Found some white/opaque straight worms in a good chunk of the fillet. I've pulled out all of the ones that I could spot, and I'm making ceviche with it. Am I going to do die if I eat this?

The drum must've been fairly large. Everything I've read about big drum/big reds is that when they get huge, they're very prone to getting worms in the meat.
It's probably ok, I honestly don't know but I wouldn't eat it. Finding worms in something I want to eat suddenly makes me not hungry.
Yuck.

When i saw your title the first thing i thought of was worms. Seems to be the fish i hear most about having worms (not saying for sure that they are more prone or anything, its just what i hear)
Should probably take this one to the outdoor board if no one chimes up.

Yes. The larger ones tend to have worms and are generally thrown back for that reason.

Well, after some mild research, I'm eating it. The worms that are most common to local black drum, which these fit the description of, are not harmful to humans even if uncooked. These don't match the appearance of the pathogenic stuff out there and I couldn't find much of a prevalence in black drum anyway.
I'll let everyone know if I'm shitting my insides out in a hospital bed within the week.

Same reason I don't eat amberjack... prone to get worms, which I guess won't kill you when cooked, but still, pretty gross.

Save the ceviche for another meal. Cook the drum. Or take that shite back to Whole Foods. You shouldn't have to pay for fish with worms in it.

If your post turn to ramblings we will know the worms made it to your brain...
