Louie's and the Chimes are light years better than Walk Ons and the Bulldog.

Walk ons has gotten better recently; but its still only a notch or two better in quality than dog food.

Chelseas is pretty good. Cool place. They need to step up their beer selection though

There is one hipster bitch waiter there. I don't know if she still works there, but don't tip her and complain profusely. She needs to be fired.

I miss living in BR and having my rotation:
-Chelseas
-Georges
-Chinese Combo King
-Pluckers
-Chimes
-Inga's

Can't tell you how many times I ate at those places while in school.

LSU didn't have much during my time.

My go to spots consisted of The Chimes, Atcha's Bakery, Highland Coffee and Inga's. I still love visiting these four whenever I make the trips back in the fall.

Meh.

I'm so sick of 70808. I feel like I visit the same joints every week.

Chelsea's is the best restaurant in campus vicinity.

I agree. I have 1 place that I love but other than that everything else is old and scarce.

You get in a routine no matter where you live, but I do agree in a larger city, it's easier to try something new due the multitude of options. BR has limited options, but it's better than most college towns. I live in Atlanta now and find myself visiting the same joints every week as well. When you're pressed for time and want to limit your spending, you most likely won't venture more than 10 minutes from home very often no matter what city you live in.

That's how I felt toward the end of my tenure at LSU. My go-tos were always the Chimes, Parrains, Rama, George's, Wahada, Rotollos, Mellow Mushroom, or Fat Cow (for the last year I was there)

How many students can afford those two joints to know what the F is inside?

I wasn't exactly referring to those type of restaurants.

And from reviews as of late, I don't know that Galatoire's even is appropriate to use here yet. Many people seem to have been disappointed.

I forgot to tell y'all.. I did meet the chef out the other night and asked about the noise that everyone is referring to. He said they have some stupidly expensive acoustic professional coming in to work on it, so the issue should be solved soon.

I feel like that too. I am sick of eating by LSU/not much variety. Good thing I graduate in May .
