Anyone have any suggestions for somewhere they've gone recently that is reasonable wthout being shitty crawfish? I've got one night off from work, haven't had any crawfish yet this year, and would prefer not to pay $8 a pound for shitty ones somewhere.

TIA and SIAP--I did search.

I had some from Deanie's on Sunday. Worst crawfish I've had in years. Mealy, didn't peel well and not worth the price.

That it is. The mudbugs were great though. Also had an appy of onion rings that were great--reminded me of the ones at Liuzza's. Pretty reasonable pitchers of beer too.

On I think Wednesdays and Saturdays they do $8.50/dozen oysters, and their oysters looked pretty good. Didn't have any myself tonight.

Haven't gotten any from the stores in the city, but Rouse's Thibodaux puts out some damn fine boiled crawfish if you just want to pick some up and take them home. Usually on Friday evening during lent, they've got them coming out fresh all evening and they sell them hot from an ice chest in the front of the store.

The Rouses by me does this too, but I can guarantee the rouses in Thibodaux executes this way better.,
