Thanks to everyone for the good recs in NOLA.
If you come to Laffy, Marcello's sometimes has a killer osso bucco.
A Marcello's opened recently in Nola. They don't have osso bucco on the menu, but the other dishes I've eaten there were solid.

Dante's Kitchen has a bone marrow escargot dish that is pretty fricking awesome. We were the last ones left in the restaurant and I was literally licking the bone.

True Scicilian inspired dishes, for sure. Sergio is the real deal, although he is not the chef.

There is no such thing as Osso Bucco. Drives me nuts to see it misspelled like that virtually ALL the time (tuna tartar is another one). Even restaurants frequently spell it the wrong way. Now if you wanted to talk Ossobuco, I'd be willing to listen.

I had osso bucco (sorry degas) ravioli special recently at Ruth's Chris in BR. It was very good.

I recommend La Petite Grocery's version - excellent.
