Being I haven't had pizza in every corner of Louisiana, I can't say which is the best, only my favorite thus far.
However, I can say with absolute confidence that the answer does not involve Johnny's.

The Boucherie pizza from Pizza Artista is one of the greatest pizzas I've tasted.

What's really good at Mellow Mushroom is the Italian hoagie. It beats the crap out of Anthony's Deli, which is fair at best (muff, Italian poboy, and spaghetti and meatballs for reference).

Pizza Delicious and Domenica for me. I used to have Ancora in that group but it hasn't been as good the last 2 or 3 times.

These are the only two acceptable answers. Also, did Pepporoni Ray's really win a poll for best pizza in NOLA? My wife and I tried that place one time while we were dating and to this day we both agree it was the worst pizza we've ever had. And we aren't above ordering from Papa Johns or Dominos every once in a blue moon - so this was truly awful.
