Some pretty tasty looking fries on there. A free order of fries on me from the top place in Louisiana if anyone can guess without looking.

The shoestring fries from Ruth's Chris are my favorites. Make those at home. So good.

Yes they are great. I'm sure the favorites in most places are covered with a bunch of crap. To me, the fries at La Boca are tough to beat.

I really don't eat many fries as a side because I don't want to fill up on them and once they cool off I'm not nearly as interested in them. However, the Ruth's Chris shoestrings are good the next day even and while you feel like you've eaten a lot of them, you really haven't had as much potato as you think. One baking potato makes a ton of the fries.

Poor choice for Ohio. The fries cooked in duck fat with rosemary and garlic are exceptional at Bar Centro.

Me either. As I said, they really are great. Very light and perfectly salted.

Glass you are right I am guessing. That is a place I've been to several times. Good? Sure. Best in state? Surely not!

I rather the fries at Wingstop than Parrains.

I can get in my truck and drive right now to 6 places in less than 8 minutes and get better. No doubt.

Going to La Boca next Saturday. Would never think to get fries. You saying I should?

The fries are good... I HIGHLY recommend the Provoleta. Its a must for me on every trip.
Know ur not a red meat kinda gal, but dont let the skirt w skin get by everyone ur dining with.... The draw to a traditional rare/medium-rare steak is strong.... But its the best steak they serve. Its sent cut into pieces, so you can share it with other guests. EVERYTIME i go I offer pieces to dining guests that ordered a bone in filet/ribeye... And get the "wow, should have ordered that" gig.
Just a suggestion. Love the place. Eat there too often.

another interesting one is with onion. When the fries are about done, you throw in a shaved/minced onion. The little beads coagulate with the potatoes and are done in a flash. Delicious.

If you like fries, sure why not? They soak them for three days, changing the water every day. Then fry them twice. A good steak and frites is one of life's great pleasures. Add a great red wine, hard to beat.

That's what makes it funny. they had nothing at all to say about louisiana's fries.
Did anyone make it down to West Virginia? It's another good one

Wow, good to know. It will just be jones and I for his birthday.
Never would have thought to get the provoleta. Good to know.
I'll probably order the sweetbreads. That's my type of meal. I imagine since he wants to branch out beyond strip or ribeye, he will get skirt or hanger.
