Heading up for a weekend next month. Any rec's on a couple BBQ joints to check out? Anything with good dry rub ribs? Or do we just hit up Fox bro's and call it a day? Thanks.

Fox Bros is good but also the most overrated in town.
I like BBQ1 but it's up in Marrietta.

Fox Bros is good, but I've been hitting up community a lot lately. Community is just as good without the wait you get at fox bros.

Fox Bros has the best atmosphere, the bbq itself is not the best. I do think some of their apps/sides are great tho.

The wife and I got food poisoning there. Just horrible.

I have never been to Smoke Ring but heard great things.

Fox Brothers is good but not as good as the hype.

Smokebelly in Buckhead better than anyone on gives em credit for...

The Old Brick Pit in Brookhaven is by far the most underrated in the city. No they don't have a stinking website.

For ribs. I am not a fan of their pulled pork. I dont know if I just never hit it right or what.

True. People discredit them because they're a more "upscale" bbq for the Buckhead crowd.

I'd also add Sweet Auburn to the list. I could live off their brisket tacos and die happy.

Next time you go, get the wings. You will thank me later.

Pretty well put. I like going there and they have a nice beer selection which is big for me. Ribs that I had were really solid and so were the sides.

I would add the best thing Fox Bros has is their smoked wings... that needs to be your order if you haven't tried them.

Their pulled pork is just not good. At all.

I like Heirloom the best, though Fox Bros. I'll gladly enjoy at any time.

Fox Bros. The rib plate combo with a half rack and chopped brisket is the best BBQ plate you can get in Atlanta.

This. Also Grand Champion BBQ in Roswell and Krog Street Market has the best brisket in town IMO.

I was not that impressed with it. They don't offer many choices. I can see how the place hold near to those who grew up in the area, but I'd rather go elsewhere.

Was very underwhelmed the only time I ate at DBA. Heirloom's brisket from multiple experiences can be very unpredictable. Only time I ate at Daddy D'z before a Braves game it was very solid.
