Hooters in Houma. Sorry, just don't normally throw it out there since I am usually on the OT.

My sister finally got a working kitchen that she can play in out of Gustav. The nieghbors big assed oak tree sliced through the house. It took my BIL a year or so to rebuild it.

had to stay in a hotel for a few months. We lived at Jason's Deli.

You'd think after months of the same thing, you wouldn't want to look at another Jason's Deli.. I like the locations in BR, especially Citi Place. My favorites are the chicken salad, Santa Fe chicken, Ruben and the Podnuh baked potato (don't know if it's still on the menu but it's available if you ask for it. The Podnuh is a big baked potato stuffed with brisket and barbeque sauce, cheddar cheese, butter and sour cream.. Sinfully delicious.

Best: Texas Roadhouse
Worst: Joes and Ihop

At Joe's I felt like I got pick pocketed. I ate a $25 meal there then went next door to Hooter's to have a burger to actually feel like I ate something.

Last time I went to Ihop I waited 30 minutes for a table and when we got seated that entire section was empty. There were still people waiting outside with at least 8 or 10 tables in our area vacant.

We ordered drinks then ordered our meals. We never got the drinks and when the meals came out we just left and have never gone back. I took time out to let everyone waiting know that there was an entire dining room nearly empty.

I was a manager at a Hooter's in Huntsville way back in 96. Everytime I see a restaurant show with filthy kitchens, I think about how nice our stuff looked comparatively. The food was just as fresh as any mom and pop place also.

They have since torn the building down and built a new one, but some of my best memories are form the three years I spent there and the 4 months as a manager.

That's like the price of one of their steam pots. I usually can't even eat the whole thing. I guess the Joe's in Bossier is just that great because I would never think to put them on this list.

That was at Joe's in Bossier at the boardwalk and it was a steam pot. If I remember right it was like 1 cluster of snow crab legs, a handful of shrimp and a piece of sausage and corn. It was bland to me and we had poor service.

Honest question...What made you think that dish was worth ordering in the first place? I'm not trying to be a smart arse...for once...but why?

snow crab legs in Bossier City, LA. that just doesn't add up to something I'd be interested in eating.

Well that's why I ordered it, and it wasn't bad. It wasn't good either and I expected more. Maybe my perception of it is based on my own heightened expectations.

It really is. Hardly ever do I have a dish go out that isn't fresh. On occasion I'll have a new employee try to cover up his mistake with something that isn't fresh. He either learns his lesson or screws up again and I'm done with him.

On a side note, how many people have actually talked to the management about bad experiences? I also imply that you handled it in a mature manner and gave them a chance to correct the mistake. Good management will take this into account. I've seen a few places on here that I can understand not even bothering talking to them though.

I just so happened to have been talking to a manager at Ihop when the food showed up before the drinks and he didn't offer any compensation. Just "Sorry 'bout that"

Not considering small chain restaurants:

Worst- Joe's Crab Shack, Applebee's

Best-Texas Roadhouse, Macaroni Grill ( although this can be hit or miss sometimes)

That is complete crap. I would be pissed too. I've been meaning to call Ihop and Waffle House out here just to let them know that I won't go because it isn't safe at night. They really need detail cops out here in Houma.

I didn't think people went to iHop at times other than after midnight

I went to the one on Seigan the other night after work (midnight-ish), and was shocked at how different it is than the one on College. I was also sober. It was pleasantly weird.
