I had one of these when I came home last week. I had to try it since it is brewed in Arnaudville. It was really good.

I haven't tried it but why can't Louisiana get a decent microbrew?

Maybe it's time for me to start one.

NOLA and Parish are both decent or better.

You should be able to get Parish in a few Laffy joints now.

But you should start your own too... too much of a good thing is a better thing.

I tried it at the Baton Rouge Beer Fest last April (or whenever it was). Wasn't a fan.

no idea

I'm sure it's just like everything else in this state.

eta: I'll probably just stick to brewing 5 gallons at a time for myself

I agree with it being crap. I thought it wasn't even close to some of the worse pale ale's I've had. I'll just stick with bear republic racer 5 thank you.

If ya'll are comparing LA-31, an APA, to Racer 5, an IPA, then of course you are disappointed.

I think LA-31 is an ok beer, its drinkable. I just wont be rushing out to buy any more of it

I think NOLA's Hopitoulas is really good.

It is contract brewed by Lazy Magnolia. I thought it was ok, nothing I'm going to buy regularly. However I tried their Bouchanee, a smoked wheat beer, last weekend at the LRA Convention. It was god awful. I had to poor it out.
