So three other cooks are showing skils. Eddie is the host and commentator

Two judges...one professional and one celebrity (former football player)

Eliminated contestant gets "sacked"

After watching show, I have ZERO idea what was the point of next food network star

Eddie did no cooking, no judging, and talked very little about the food

This is a bad spot for him. He has talent, but FN is not helping him...at all

I finally saw an episode of this show. Eddie hosted a crappy competition where other people cooked and still other people judged the food. Eddie was just a half-assed TV host.

They could have put any spokes-model out there to do his role. The whole FNS competition where he had to prove he could cook and have a POV, etc. was a damned joke. I am literally laughing out loud at how stupid it proved to be.

I'm done with the Blitz.

The ads were enough to discourage my interest.

Watched the first one... Eddie was probably on camera for less than 5 minutes. The former football player judge seemed like he was in over his head, and overall it was just a boring show.

Sucks for Eddie, I'm sure that's not what he would want to do.

I hear what you are saying, but FN has put him on the air when his options were backyard cooking or getting a job or both.

They've given him an opportunity. It's not an entitlement.

Eddie did no cooking,

Neither does Guy Fieri, Adam Richman.

Again, I get your point and I don't disagree with your premise. Just offering a different perspective.

He used to have a cooking show. I don't know if the reruns are still on.
