Looking for teams to compete for Baton Rouge's Best Boiler. Anyone interested in putting together a team? 10 teams max. No more than 5 people per team.
The event will take place Saturday, May 9th at Tin Roof from 2-6.

Rules for Teams Competing in Cook-off
Entry: Entry fee will be $250 for a team with no more than 5 people. Entry fee will include two sacks of crawfish, 1 member entry to the crawfish eating contest and a 10×10 cooking space. We will also send a few posters for you to put up around your place of business.
Company signage/logo display will be permitted at no additional charge. Costumes encouraged.
Space: Space location is based on application’s received. The area size will be 10 x 10. Teams are encouraged to decorate their area. Teams must furnish ALL their ingredients (aside from the crawfish) and cooking equipment including tents, tables, chairs, propane, pots, water etc. We will supply crawfish treys, paper towels, and trash cans. Electricity is NOT available at cook site.
Crawfish: The first batch must be ready by 2:30p.m. The second batch must be ready by 4p.m. Time permitted to set up and cook will be from 10 AM to 2:30PM. Teams will be allowed to bring all ingredients prepped in advance. However, ALL TEAMS must combine ALL ingredients the day of, on site. Sample trays will be given to each team to distribute the crawfish. Individuals will give a doubloon to the team who made their favorite crawfish for “Peoples Choice”. All doubloons will be collected at 5:00pm from each team to determine the winners of the Peoples Choice award.
Check-In: Check in and set up begins at 11a.m. Please check in with the Cook-Off Chairperson and have your area ready to go by 2:00pm. We ask that all vehicles be out of the cook-off area by 11:30am.
Awards: There will be three (1) award given to the team with the most doubloons.

It just means to bring your fixings there to the event to throw in the boil.
I can probably take that out as well.

final question: It says "costumes encouraged". Realistically, will people be wearing costumes? Because that is a deal breaker for me.

You know how people wear costumes to non-Haloween WSP shows? that bothers me.
