Almost went this route (Gator). Rich is a great guy, but delivery was gonna be ~10 - 12 months. I just didn't want to wait.

Went with Pits By JJ in Houston. Love my pit.

24" x 48" Main Chamber
Tuning Plates
22" x 22" x 24" Sq Fire Box w/propane log lighter
Along with a few other small options.

ETA: 65 lb pig I smoked this past fall.

I've looked at them before and if I had to do a Price is Right type of guess, I would say $2,650 Bob.

While I have an Egg and do smoke meat on it every couple of months, I would not recommend it as a smoker. You want to be serious about smoking meat get a smoker with an offset fire box.

I have this.... The Good One Open Range. smoke box on the front and the meat goes up top. Think they use 11 and 14 gauge steel to make them. you can also cook on the smoke box and it has a damper in b/w that will almost completely shut off heat to the upper section. I like it b/c its more compact and efficient than the off sets.
got it from firecraft.com .... only dealer is in Lafayette and that dude wanted to charge me $300 more than the online price which had free shipping

my recommendation is to go to amazingribs.com and read that guys reviews on stuff.

Strange design. If you're smoking, you'll be reaching across/over the firebox to access the smoking chamber. I could see some burned forearms in my future.
