upper end restaurants.

I was treated to Delmonico. And it was a wedding weekend.

I enjoy good food from anywhere, especially holes in the wall.

Those fajitas at superior pushed it over the edge, from fatty to gluttony IMO

Do people really think he's the only person in New Orleans that eats like this every weekend?

Eh, it's okay. My problem with Delmonico's is they're not the best at any one thing they offer.

It's not the best steak, charcuterie, or seafood. At that price, I'm going elsewhere.

Also, I think it's a menu that caters to out-of-towners. I rarely hear people talking about them.

If you're only going to the "best" places then you are really limiting yourself. Besides, naming the "best" restaurant at a particular thing is an extremely subjective task but everyone does love listing things for some reason.

So last night was one of the 3 Sundays a year that Peche is open on a Sunday. Anesthesiologists convention in town guess they wanted to capitalize. The tuna crudo was on point .. tuna was the best I've had there to date.

Seafood salad rocked too

Crappy pic, but the whole redfish was outstanding. They've got the cooking temp + time down to a science. So moist and delicate.

Hope you enjoyed the quinoa & lentils brah !

+1

Lists are fricking asinine outside very specific categories like "best green curry in Midtown east."

Thanks for the call. Looks great!

I need to check that seafood salad, I don't think I've tried it yet.

It was Kale and Lentils and it was delicious.

You had me until the Brussels Sprouts...

You must have a "large" expense account!

I never said I only eat at the "best" places, far from it.

I just don't find much at Delmonico's interesting.
I don't go to Steakhouses, I'm going to Peche for seafood (it's cheaper and better), and I'm going to any number of places for better charcuterie.

That's my thought process on Delmonico.

Nice!

Do you usually tip the cats working the raw bar? I left them a tip last night but didn't know if that was good form. Our server was awesome btw. The short, shaved head black guy. Top notch.

Both were top notch. The seafood salad is nice because there's a lot of fresh herbs and there's a crema on the bottom .. it's different flavor profile from some of their other dishes which is cool.
