I’ve been doing it for a couple months and it’s been working. 20lbs down. During the week I eat lunch and skip supper. On the weekends, I normally skip lunch and eat supper.
It can definitely be a PIA at times but my stomach has shrunk and the weight keeps falling off, so I’ll ride with it until I reach my goal weight!

During the week I just eat dinner (cup of coffee in the morning and nothing until I get home). I don’t do it for weight loss. I was just too busy to eat lunch and got used to it. On the weekends I often eat lunch and/or breakfast

Basically for the past 25 years. One big meal in the evening. I can't sleep when I'm hungry. No breakfast , but I may have a muffin or light snack in the afternoon if I feel hungry. I eat something in the morning when I'm hungry but that is a rare occasion, maybe once a month if that. I eat when I'm hungry, but coffee usually does me just fine throughout the day. If I eat lunch now I get really tired and feel weighted down for the rest of the day. Can't workout or exercise on a full stomach either. I started it when i switched to Keto, got fit, and lost weight for the final time. Never have put on weight since. I grew up a fat kid and didn't get fit until my mid 20's. It doesn't make sense for energy purposes but it's what my body has responded to.

I’ve been 1 meal a day for as long as I can remember. I just don’t get hungry during the day

But as I’ve gotten older it’s starting to cause me some problems with regard to brain energy. Neurologist advised me to start eating something or an energy drink in the morning to refuel. I was getting light headed and had trouble with cognitive work until I ate something

Something to keep in mind

Pretty much. I do eat a light breakfast, sometimes a couple of scrambled eggs, other times a couple of pieces of toast, usually not much. Seldom eat lunch but if I do, I’ll skip the breakfast and supper. Supper is my main meal. Y’all mostly see what I eat. :)

I’m one meal 90% of the time. Sometimes I’ll squeeze in 2 meals because of social situations. Every now and then I’ll do a 2 or 3 day fast. During this eating style, I’ve learn to eat a lot less processed foods. But when I eat the occasional donut, pizzas, ice cream or cookie, I don’t feel too addicted or guilty. My bmi dropped from 25 to a stabilizing 22 and I’m happy with that.

It’s very odd that I can go the whole day without being hungry but if I open a bag of chips and start eating, I can’t stop. Shows how addicting processed food can be.

Not one meal, but only eat breakfast on the weekends with the wife when she's off work.

During the week it's just coffee in the morning, something light for lunch and a decent meal for dinner.

My metabolism told me I was on my own 21 years ago when I hit 50 and it retired.

I’ll have a banana or two throughout the day

But yeah the only time I really eat is in the evenings.

Same here. I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember.

yeah i usually just eat dinner during the week.

it does help.

I tend to be a snacked and nervous eater.
so just limiting how much I have around helps.

I try to.

It absolutely works for weight loss if you stick to it and avoid snacking (aside from fruit).

I never eat anything before 1pm or after 9pm. Usually sleep 12 to 7:30.

I never eat breakfast and am never hungry in the mornings.

I’ll eat a big lunch around 1 or 2pm, and then an apple and/or banana around 7/8pm.

What messes it up is dinner with friends, but I only do that once or twice a week (at most).

Try it for a week or two and see. Eat whatever you want for the one meal. But don’t cheat in the morning or evening, aside from apples/bananas.

Sometimes I only eat 1 meal in a day, but I guess you could say it's not fully by choice. I was on Ozempic for many months and I'm now on Mounjaro. Both reduced my desire to eat much.

I watch a couple guys on social media who do one meal a day, both have lost over 100 pounds and eat a buffet every night.

When I got of HS I had a buddy move to Lafayette, he was barely making ends meet so he did 1 meal a day, mostly to be frugal. He would work out in the morning, work from 8-5, then go eat at the Chinese buffet everyday after work. He was ripped too.

I'm doing keto and I do one meal a day in afternoon when I get home from work. Started at 262 on April 16 and today I weighed 253. (I'm 6'3" btw)

Half a Wonder Slim bar every few hours during the day (two bars total per day), mostly meat for supper, tiny snack at 9p, lost 100lbs and keeping it off.

work week Monday-Thursday, just dinner and try and keep it reasonable...eat whatever on weekends. Keeps the weight off for the most part.

Yep, OMAD and nothing after 6pm.
I drink water only and lots of it.

Lost 90lbs in 2019 and I've put back on 40.
Started OMAD again on 4/1 and I'm down 12lbs so far.
