I think Whole 30 is a very productive dietary exercise. Eye opening as to how much crap you can consume.

For me it made artificial sweeteners hard to tolerate. I am slowly falling off the wagon and having a Diet Coke about three times a week...but I was drinking two a day.

That and the discovery of how delicious coconut oil is, I love the stuff.

I cut out all artificial sweeteners. I actually drink coffee straight up with nothing (sweeteners or milk). This was hard to get used to but after a couple of months I don't miss any of it. I was never a soda drinker but I can see how kicking the diet coke habit would be challenging.

I should say if you are severely overweight then yes cutting carbs is good to drop weight fast

Like the guy said, carbs are used for energy and meant to be burned off. So if you are moving around and working out you need them. If you're 300 lbs and sitting at a cube all day eating from the snack drawer, your carbs will be stored as fat

Sorry I know paleo isn't low carb. I misspoke. I was referring to Keto and just any low carb diet in general. I don't have a problem with low carb diets. But the ones that have you eating stupid low amounts like 20-30 a day is insane. Again, unless you NEED to drop 30 lbs quickly for a match or show or surgery then there is no need.

Also I recommend looking up nutritional dense food and start eating more of these. Keep you fuller longer and less urge to binge

It really is as simple as having a lean protein, simple carb and complex carb with every meal. Leave 10-15% of the calories each day for whatever you want. And move more

Also try tracking what you're eating every day. People have no clue how many calories shite has or how many macros they get each day

By far the biggest benefit of a keto or paleo diet is simple. Protein and fats are far more satiating than carbohydrates.

Preach. Been doing Keto for about 5 months. Moderate results. Feel better without the sugar. One of the best benefits is that you are not typically very hungry. Good luck.

One thing to keep in mind is that Paleo is not just about losing weight. Avoiding grains and legumes is more about what it does to your intestines and how it affects your ability to absorb nutrients.

I was on it for a while and while I dropped from about 210 to 180, the results I saw in my blood work were what was amazing. I ate as many carbs as I could find that were Paleo friendly (mostly fresh fruits). I like carbs.
