don't know where you are located but Super One foods in Pineville area has them on sale for .97/pound. (If you are in BR I don't think there are any stores there, but I think there are some in Lafayette area.

Occasionally Rouses will have them for $.99/lb. You can shop around at Rouses, maybe Albertsons and probably find them at $1.99/lb. They are cheaper in the "family" pack with (2) ea @ 11-12 lbs.

Not sure where you can buy that much though.

Yup. Limit of three I think I saw, so bring friends or various disguises.

Try McKinnon's in Davis. They normally have good prices on meats.

Double D in Bogalusa. It's right outside the city limits on Hwy 21. They sell commercial and to the public. Look it up on the internet.

I'm still curious what kind of smoker you're gonna push all those through.

Talk to a slaughterhouse. You might have room to negotiate if you're willing to buy that much meat at once. You'd also avoid paying a store's markup if you buy it directly from the slaughterhouse.

Hell, you may even have some selection of the breed of pig if you go the slaughterhouse route.
