Everyone talks about how good these are and I don't really understand. I have eaten here about a dozen times and I can honestly say that the fish sticks are the only thing there that I didn't enjoy.

Maybe someone in the kitchen was having a bad day.

Apparently so, baw.

I really think I need another trip there and get the fish sticks again to like them and redeem myself.

What I would like is their recipe for beef tartar and the brussels sprouts.

I mean, I feel like a dumbass raving about fish sticks, but I could legitimately just order those and be happy. I'm a sucker for fried fish, especially with beer batter.

I just looked and could not find this recipe. If you write Bon Appetit and rave about this dish, they will contact the restaurant and get the recipe that they will share with you.

My MIL does this from time to time and it works.

Gris Gris contacted Peche directly once, and they sent her the recipe for ground shrimp with noodles.

Maybe they're willing to share the fish sticks recipe too.

Add a splash of vodka. Makes it supes crispy bruh. On the occasions I batter seafood like this, it makes all the difference in the world.

Will do. I've done that with Korean fried chicken before, so I'm familiar with the result.. and it is awesome.

I am with you. It is good fried fish, but that's all it is.

Used some wild caught Cod, Sierra Nevada Pale ale + a little bit of tequila:

Turned out pretty good.

You're not the only one. It's the least interesting thing on the menu. No surprise it's popular.

I don't order chuckie cheese type stuff either. Who wants fish sticks when I can have steak tartar and crudo?

Different strokes for different folks, Jones. Everyone has different taste. I'd take homemade fish sticks over both of your suggestions though I haven't ordered any of the three. The fish sticks are on my list for the next visit. I'm curious about them.

It was a joke gris. Come on its 1am on a Sunday night in a peche thread.

But you would take fish sticks over steak tartar and the crudo from the raw bar?

I guess we are back at square one
