On Highland? Menu looks interesting. Supposedly they have good cheese and meat plates, and I know how people around here love them some cheese and meat plates.

Meat and cheese plates and sandwiches are all good. You can get the sandwich with a cup of soup too which is usually good.
Pretty cool place overall

Really like the place. Best charcuterie board I have had in BR, granted haven't tried the one at the new City Pork.
Good drinks, wish they would up their beer, but they probably don't have volume.

Would you say it's a good date spot?

For sure, they've got a little band on Friday nights too

Not too bad. I would say it is a lot more bar than bistro. Finger foods are big there, not really an entree place.
Depends on the girl I guess. Depending on your budget, drink at Bacchus then the short trip down Highland to French Market Bistro for dinner. Or vise versa.

Didn't the Gulfport location close? Glad to see them making a go out of the one in the Pass.

i know the guy that owns the bacchus chain on the coast. good dude, sum bitch is young too. They do a hell of a double cut pork chop.
That one in gulfport he sold it a while back and then bought it back from the people.... didn't realize he closed it though. he has the one in the pass, biloxi and he has the oyster place in long beach harbor. plus owns the flying japlapenos that are around the area.

The Baton Rouge one is owned by Bridget Robert. She is in there most nights but she's at Robert Distributors a lot too. She tends to spread herself thin.
She has a very nice wine list and she does have a few good entrees but I eat the charcuterie. I like her remoulade and the crab cakes are good too.
We stop in early or late mostly. Coming or going. Had a martini and appetizer at Jubans the other night, dinner and wine at Ninos, brandy and some cake and ice cream at Bacchus. Sleep hard and woke up late at 6:00 am.

Well she's late 40's and never been married so maybe Aunt B would be attracted to a SirPsychoSexy. Whatever the frick that is. It kind of gave me a creep factor just typing it.
