So far Ive contacted Coquette, Antoines, Audubon Clubhouse, and Atchafalaya. Looking for somewhere with preferably a private room capable of seating about 40 people. Can be downtown, uptown, or Metairie. Just looking for some other suggestions I may have overlooked.

The food isn't the best, but upstairs at Muriel's is pretty great with the balcony and everything.

Upstairs room at Bourbon house has been fantastic the two times I went

ETA: To be honest, there are a TON of great options in NOLA for this. The tough part is actually making the decision

Upstairs at Muriel's. Ask for Erin. First class venue and service.

I forgot to mention, I spoke with Muriels also. They wanted a minimum of 10k for a party of 35. That's insane. Also, I thought Peche would be a good idea, as the atmosphere is a bit lively. But on their website, if you click on private dining, it send you straight to Donald Link's private reception room on the second floor of Cochon. So I'm under the assumption Peche has no private dining.

Muriels is by far our first choice. My fiance' is in love with that place. It's the price that is the issue.

Holy shite. We did Bourbon House, got the double room for about 70 people, and it was right at $6,500

Ralphs on the park is not top tier on the food, but having an event upstairs with the balcony looking out towards City Park is awesome

Apparently any amount of 28 people requires the opening of the second room. And thats where that ginormous minimum kicks in

We did Tujagues and had a blast. Only issue is the stairs to the upstairs room. I also had a lot of out of town guests so it was a great location.

Just curious how parking was? We have a few older grandparents I'm somewhat worried about.

Tableux or Brennan's. Like others said there's plenty of good ones. Congratulations

ETA: and the ones you mentioned sound good too. Also, Napoleon house. Went to a dinner party couple months ago and it was great

Mine was in the upstairs room at the Napoleon house
Ten years later people still talk about it
this was when sal still owned it so I don't know what if anything has changed, but the venue is really nice, it's right there in the quarter and the food and drink was great

Balise has a beautiful private dinning room upstairs. Their food is delicious and they are very reasonably priced.
