re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
I don't understand how the capacity of my house and the amount of people coming to our party is relevant if it's no longer at the home. Especially since most are couples....

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
I never stated that I felt uncomfortable inviting them into my home. I just don't have enough room to have that amount of people at my place. Nothing to do with feeling uncomfortable. It's all friends...

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
I'm not throwing it for myself. Re read the OP. Well we decided on The District as the location is centralized, price was right, and they allow us to bring our own food. We wound up deciding on District over Ale on Oak street. Edit: just got a call from district stating that the owners do not wan...

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
Yea I know what your saying. We just think having 50 people in our home is too much. And getting all of them our friends to drive to the Northshore would be a headache....

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
Guests are bringing liquor for us in order to.... stock our bar . So I'm pretty sure the wording is correct. You are more than welcome to call it whatever you'd like....

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
Pretty much just as excuse to get people together. Food and liquor paid for for guests. Just asking that guests bring a bottle of liquor, wine, etc. as a gift....

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
I emailed them. Waiting on response now. I heard that they don't rent out areas during football games. Not sure how true that is. Edit: just got the response. Yeah, no reserving areas during saints or lsu games....

re: Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
No they don't. They took multiple deposits for the same date. The coordinator took over a week to get a contract sent to us. We paid the deposit within 1hr of receiving the contract (which, mind you, took over a week to receive) and was told that some one literally walked in 5 minutes before we drop...

Stock the Bar Party location - cajunsaint
My buddy wants to throw a stock the bar party for me on Oct 8th (LSU at Florida). Long story short, The Bulldog Mid City screwed us over, so now we are left starting back from square one. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a place to watch the game in NOLA that has a private/semi ...

re: Attire for Peche? - cajunsaint
Thanks for the awesome advice. I actually have already made my reservation, which is set for 930. The other couple doesn't get off work until late. What about parking? Is there an abundance of pay lot around there? Or is it hectic?...

Attire for Peche? - cajunsaint
First time going to Peche will be this Saturday with another couple. I was wondering what the attire would be for a Saturday night. Jeans and nice shirt? Dress pants casual shirt? Etc. I've been reading that the smoked tuna appetizer is a must get. Other than the whole fish, is there any other m...

Any opinions of Pat O's on the River? I know it's mainly used for receptions but I'm curious if it can be used for a rehearsal dinner. It's a pretty big space. Not sure if they can divide it up so it wouldn't look too empty....

re: Any suggestion for a rehearsal dinner? - cajunsaint
I forgot to mention, I spoke with Muriels also. They wanted a minimum of 10k for a party of 35. That's insane. Also, I thought Peche would be a good idea, as the atmosphere is a bit lively. But on their website, if you click on private dining, it send you straight to Donald Link's private reception ...
