Nope in the foil. I haven't done it in years. It was my dads method and I enjoyed it. I would most likely not utilize it nowadays but it's a viable method

i dont know how to even turn on my dishwashers to wash dishes,, safe to assume ive never cooked in them..

You know the dirty water never fully leaves the dishwasher.

Now if you had a steam only setting you could.

This. I think most people don't like Microwaves because they only use 100% power. Dial the power back to 60% and add 2.5 minutes to the cook time and it comes out better every time.

I heard if your oven is broke, it's ok to use the dishwasher. You don't put anything in the soap dispenser, just wrap your fish in tinfoil and put a lot of cut lemons in the bottom of the dishwasher. The lemons will start banging around and your dishwasher may break, but if it doesn't break, you'll have really good fresh tasting fish.

eta: probably shouldn't keep in there for the whole drying cycle.
