Maybe Monroe? Sorry for being a smartass. I haven't been there but a lot of other posters have. It is by all accounts one of the best restaurants in the state.

Sage is on 19th street. Watch out if you have anything to drink. The new chief is a self proclaimed "dwi king" and they set up checkpoints on 19th street fairly regularly. They start them pretty early too. Just fyi.

The menu is different from that posted on the website. It's presently much better.

That is my hope! West Monroe did have some growth in the last decade.

Sage is the best joint in town hands down. It's also the most expensive.

Other pretty good resturants:
-Warehouse
-Waterfront
-Brandy House
-Genusas (Italian)
-Tony's (Italian)
-Ernestos (Mexican)
-Mohawk (Seafood)

Good Bar's with food:
-Enoch's
-Trio's
-Portico
-Koda

Mohawk on Louisville is one of the hole-in-the-wall places that has the best oysters and other food I have ever had.

You MUST visit that place before you leave.

That's solid. I'd swap out Ernesto's with the Iron Cactus for Mexican. Add Samurai for Japanese and Thai food.

What is this Iron Cactus?

Oh and I forgot Daq's for the bar food and nice butted waitress type place.

Thai food

I'd choose Rawz for Thai and it has good Vietnamese, too, plus decent sushi. Kim's up the road has a good, small Vietnamese menu. For real messican, Don Tomas Taqueria is the joint to go(no frills, though).
