I kind of agree. I have never been a fan of pumpkin beer. They're one of those things that I want to like, but I'm perpetually disappointed when I try them.

Pumpkin flavored crap is worse than the Bacon flavored crap that was all the rage a couple years ago.

I even saw a pumpkin spice Cliff Bar the other day.

I got the flavor wrong. It's actually Spiced Pumpkin Pie.

You knew where I was going with that.

I had the Schlafly pumpkin beer at The Flying Saucer in Little Rock. They asked if I wanted my glass rimmed with graham cracker crumbs which I thought was a little over the top.

I decided against the crumbs and enjoyed the beer. It certainly would have tasted just like pumpkin pie with the crumbs though.

My BIL does all of the plumbing build outs for the Southern Tier guys in NY. They have got a great operation up there and are expanding again. Can't wait to visit during Christmas again.

Did not mean for this to turn into a "all I like is bud, so pumpkin beer tastes shitty to me" thread, or in Zappas case a "pumpkin is my least veggie chili ingredient" thread

I'm actually not a huge Pumpking fan. I wanted to like it, but it just doesn't do it for me.

A lot of the good breweries here won't brew pumpkin beers because they don't like using the artificial spices

I don't like Pumpking...at all

it has to have something else for me to like Pumpkin beers, like coffee, or be sour or something

just straight pumpkins beers do nothing for me, especially the heavily spiced ones

If any of you pumpkin fans can purchase or do a trade for:

Cape Ann - Pumpkin Stout, or
Cape Ann - Imperial Pumpkin Stout

I highly recommend it. It's the best pumpkin beer I've had to date.

I'm not a huge Pumpkin beer fan but I do find it odd that Pumpkinator didn't make it, because I thought it was really good.

Fairhope brewed an imperial pumpkin this year that I enjoyed as well.

yikes, no Almanac Heirloom Pumpkin Barleywine, no Avery Rumpkin, and no Pumpkinator...

Did this guy just roll down to the local bottle shop and pick up shelf turds to fill out his 21 beers.

Can wait for his christmas beer list which will be comprised of all those nasty Ridgeway Brewing elf beers that Calandros buys every year for some stupid reason.
