Can you ask Andrew at GRB to put G&G in 12 ounce bottles/cans?

At Arm's Length tallboy cans would be awesome. I mentioned that to Harvey last week. Make it happen!

Harvey seems like the sort of guy that appreciates the tall boy can.

Sure. The price is a bit high. Right now we are using the last bit of our spot market hops. Crop 15 stuff is being harvested as we speak. Our new contracts on these sexy hops will result in a better prices per lb. so we will have better pricing with the next release. In fact we have already dropped the price on Grace and Grit kegs. CCD passed that decrease along to the retailer as well. As opposed to saying “Thanks boo” and keeping that margin for themselves. As always, thanks for the support. Really still floored over the Baton Rouge \ North Shore support. Sorry it took so long.

From Andrew at GRB

You know I was thinking of asking the guys at Great Raft why the prices were so high (politely might I add) but i did not because i figured A) they already knew it and B) that LSURoss could find that out as well.

It's really hard not to like this brewery. Class act all the way through and they make some fantastic brews, and i've only had 4 of them.

First, they brewed commotion. When it first came out, it was good but not great. Instead of continuing with something they weren't happy with, they switched things up and made an outstanding pale ale.
Then, with G&G, they hopped up the recipe from last batch.
And now, they are being proactive and informing why G&G is so high. So they acknowledge that yes, it is high, and yes it is in part due to their last hop contract.

G&G = fantastic
Commotion = Very very good
Southern drawl = not my favorite
Reasonably corrupt = not my style

Excited to have these guys here.

Tin roof better step things up. Hopefully their gameday IPA is a good start.

That's disappointing.

What happened to their big citra hopped IPA they were working on a while back. I remember a few here had it, and said that it wasn't terrible, just had a few tweaks to make. Did this eventually become gameday IPA?

The DIPA test batch?

It came out during craft beer week, was good not not on the level of GITM or G&G.

Second that.

I wish Parish would can some as well. Need frosty cold Canebrakes and Envies to go with the Commotions during Mardi Gras.

I prefer SW Arkansas. At least they have the ouachita mountains.

Why?

It appears the Ghost is practically unavailable.

The name is preceeded by "Tin Roof" so no one is likely to give it a chance.

I like it. It's easy drinking and has a decent hop profile.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Mosaic/Amarillo from the press release. I pick up a lot more Simcoe aroma/flavor than Mosaic and Amarillo in there.
