Anniversary Dinner Sunday in Nola

I'm sure this is a pretty common thread, but couldn't find a recent one. Wife and I are in New Orleans for the weekend for our anniversary and looking for a nice dinner on Sunday night. We are both thinking steak if that helps.
Options so far:
Emeril's Delmonico
Steak Star & Lobster
Morton's
Coquette
The Rib Room
Thanks friends.

Hell no on both of these. Start Steak is hot garbage and Mortons is a stupidly over priced chain.
For a little romance with some very nice steaks, Emerils Delmonico would work.
Also look at Mr. Johns.
Not sure about what is open on Sunday, so that might be a problem.

Could not possibly have been more disappointed with a meal in my life. Absolutely no reason to go here in New Orleans. None, zip, nada.
Their service sucks, the steaks were not worth half of the prices they charge. Too much onion in everything.
The only thing they did right was drinks and dessert.
ETA: The only reason we went was because we had $200 in gift cards. Even with everything I had heard going in, and lowering my expectations accordingly, I still was incredibly disappointed.

I would go with Coquette or Mr. Johns

Now that says a lot

Doesn't it?
Oh, I did forget that the scallops and grilled shrimp were also good.
Regardless, it's supposed to be a steakhouse. I got the Cajun ribeye and my wife got the filet. Neither were above average, and at $100 just in meat, it damn well should be above average.

That's why I don't go to steakhouses. I'd rather light my grill and open a beer.

Well, sounds like Morton's is out - damn chain restaurant anyway...
I'm sure we can't go wrong with Delmonico. And Coquette looks like an upscale Boucherie... accurate?

This is not like the others.
Coquette usually has some kind of beef on the menu, but I'm not sure they will have a filet. If that's what you're looking for, may want to go elsewhere. That being said, it's clearly the best place on the list.
I'll throw out Dominque's on Magazine. I've not been but his previous restaurants were all top notch.

Not sure what the status of la Boca is with it's planned move, but if it's open I would book there if you can.
I've heard good things about desi Vegas steakhouse (relatively new place). Dickie Brennan's is dependable and the dining atmosphere is nice. If you go there you can stroll the quarter before or after.
Coquette is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, but I wouldn't go if you want steak.

Desi Vega's and Mr John's are closed on Sundays. So is La Boca.
Maybe look at Chophouse.

Chophouse looks great and a true carnivore experience.
It's between that and Coquette, and now we're not exactly comparing apples to apples.
Thanks for the help, yall.

What the frick
Coquette is by far the best on that list, but its not a steakhouse. I wouldn't get a filet there. Its definitely a more elegant restaurant than that.
I guess if you really want a steak I'd do Delmonico on that list.

good rec. it's one of the better steakhouses in town. I really enjoy their cajun delmonica and their ny strip, their carpaccio is great, and the wine list is solid. cool atmosphere and really sharp service too.
Coquette is the best restaurant of the group, but if he's looking for a filet, a baked potato, a wedge salad and a side of creamed spinach then Coquette is definitely not for him.
