My sister is coming to town and wants the ultimate week of lunches, and 1 dinner.

What would your top 5 be? It can range from a sandwich shop to a nice restaurant.

That one sounds pretty hard to beat. Might have to throw some Vietnamese in for the 5th lunch.

Agree with Friday lunch at Galatoire's. Could also do Saturday brunch at Commander's.

Has she been to New Orleans before? Does she want local food or any particular kind of food?

I love lunch at Peche, also, any day.

I did this brunch two years ago and my wife and I thought the food was terrible, but her parents really enjoyed it. Depends on ones expectations.

She has been quite a few times. She is definitely a foodie (and I make her do this for me every time I visit her in Cali). We like to mix it up with nice restaurants, patios, hole in the walls, and probably one "classic" new orleans place. Ive never been to Galatoire's Friday lunch, so I think that will be a must. How hard is it to get in?

There are a few new ones or ones I haven't been to and I wanted to know if it was worth throwing in the mix like: Willa Jean, Part and Parcel, Cane and Table, Revel, Turkey and the Wolf, Toups South, Carrollton Market and Il Posto.

One place no one has mentioned is the Rib Room. I think it's been pretty on point with Tom Wolfe at the helm. Sitting at a tabke at a window overlooking Royal Street is a nice afternoon.

I'd go with Rib Room, Commanders or Cafe Adelaide for the aforementioned martinis, Primitivo (while it still exists), Guys poboys, and Cochon Butcher.
