That LSU v Wisconson game in 2016 should be an awesome road trip. Lambeau Field, New Glarus, and get the watch the tigers kick the shite out of another Big10 team.

I cant wait, my friend is a wisco grad and is gonna meet me up there.

A large number of breweries including CCB do collabs to avoid the issue of becoming a "macro micro" as it hides some of their production volume. The only surprise to me is Alaskan Brewing Co. I dont think I've ever seen or had one of their beers.

I'm also really surprised to see Deschutes and Bells above Stone and DFH.

I think it's more of a principle thing for them to be local and drink local.

I've had several, and they are solid, but nothing to write home about

New Glarus is going to run out of beer in 2016 after that trip and all the folks wanting to bring it back home

I can't believe Texas doesn't get Bell's

Nope, they distributed to Illinois for a while and couldn't meet the demand in Wisconsin. So they pulled back and haven't extended distribution since.

Doesn't hurt that beer is dirt cheap in Wisconson too... The last couple New Glarus sours I pick up via BXN had $13 price stickers on them. That's retarded for that type of quality.

Last I heard, spotted cow was the second most popular beer in WI behind Miller Lite. WI takes care of them.

I think VSB was only $8 when it was released...

Yea, and people go stupid-crazy for it now.

I haven't even tried. Better to hope for a new batch.

I figured Oskar Blues would be up there. New Belgium will soon be higher.

Their smoked porter is something to write home about.

Not likely... they may catch Sierra Nevada, but no one is going to catch Boston Beer Company.

The BA changes the definition of 'craft beer' just to keep Boston Beer Co as a craft brewery.

2013 Volume
Boston Beer Company - 3.4 Million Barrels
Sierra Nevada - 1 Million Barrels
New Belgium - 765,000 Barrels

Alaskan is all over the place on the west coast. They make some decent beers, but Midnight Sun and Anchorage are better, coming out of Alaska, IMO.

There could be a shakeup involving Lagunitas, SN, and NB when all three have their new east coast operations come online this year or the next. Maybe then Louisiana will get some Lagunitas.

Wasn't there some talk that Louisiana was going to start receiving Firestone Walker soon?
