A couple of pics from garyville and some scary talk *warning*

I got in from work late today and wife told me that she heard people from the morganza area were trying to destruct some of the levees and they are patrolling the levees really closely now.
I don't know if it's true which is why I'm asking, and I don't want to stir the proverbial pot. Btw, here are some pics I took at work today.

word is that local or state police is montering the levee 24/7. IF there is foul play it will caught before anything can happen.

this makes me think that this could be an enormous terrorist target right now....
the MR and levees would be under normal circumstances.....but especially now I hope they keep a good watch.

That would leave a crater in the levee if it were parked on top of it.
This is what a large car bomb is capable of doing on a paved road. A lot of the levee surface is dirt with a tremendous amount of water pressure pushing on it.

BTW, I am not worried about something like this. But the possibility exists and we are nearly defenseless against it once someone is in possession of the bomb.

Negative. You could lay a piece of plywood over the device and it would provide enough downward deflection to crater.
