In general, people in my league, especially since it's a long standing league (almost 10 years now) and we know everybody, sets their line ups and plays for pride and minor bragging rights even if they are eliminated. I can't get people just fricking off like that.

I really like the kid (I was in his wedding), but I absolutely just ripped into him, and told him that he at least needs to add one of the guys who pays a lot of attention as a co-commissioner or I'm done. I kind of feel bad, because there's nothing more he hates than being called out, especially in front of his friends, which I get, but if you're going to cheat, you have to be able to deal with the consequences, right?

Just out of curiosity, how much money is up for grabs to the winner in your league? How much did you put up?

Not enough for me to get really mad. It's just $20 each. Winner gets $180, 2nd gets $80, 3rd gets their money back.

What's funny is that if this trade happened at the beginning of the season, it'd be perfectly fair.

or what if you didnt know the records of the teams? or if the guy has started players on bye weeks this season.

people on here always bitch that nothing should be vetoed unless its collusion. Well the trade itself isnt obvious collusion, but when you weigh the other variables it shouldnt go through.

it may not be collusion, the last place team just might not give a frick. He might be a Bronco fan? who knows. But its evidence that there are other reasons to veto a trade other than collusion.

My bad. It's Ronnie Hillman, not CJ Anderson. And based on the fact that he's done this before, it's enough evidence to me that it's collusion. If the trade went the other way, people wouldn't care, but when the guy who's getting all the good players is in third place in the league, it for sure shouldn't happen.

sounds more like he just doesnt care. Doesnt mean its collusion. My point has always been, people think they know collusion simply by looking at a trade, and you just never know

That's crazy. Demand reversal or your money back.

Haha, my team is terrible 2-7 and last week someone asked me what it would take to get Danny Woodhead. I said make an offer and I'll accept it out of total apathy.

Since my team sucks I haven't really been paying attention other than to make sure I fielded a full team each week.

He offered Marvin Jones and I took it and within like 5 minutes our Groupme was blowing up with everyone pissed off. I had no clue Danny Woodhead was the like #2 or 3 scoring running back in fantasy football (1/2 ppr).

Got vetoed with the quickness.

Update:
Got it reversed and I was named co-commissioner. Here are some of the great texts I received from him today though:

"It's savvy play and you guys are just pissed but can't handle things like men"

"cheating would be me making that happen without the approval of the other person."

"So crazy that you would throw me under the bus on a league wide message board like that. Blows my mind. Especially when I didn't do anything wrong. I just can't believe that."

"You guys are all mad that I finally found someone who was willing to make the trade, and instead of trying to make moves yourselves, you're worried about what I'm doing. "

This so-called friend is a POS. You need to re-examine your decision to befriend them. Remember, you are judged by the company you keep.

To prevent this from recurring, do this:

1. Ban both participants from the league;
2. Impose a fee for each loss;
3. Impose a fee for each trade; and
4. Let everyone know that you will not associate with cheaters.

If you don't eliminate cheaters from your circle of friends, it looks like you only complain about cheating when there is a possible adverse affect on you. If I'm right,

, then you should not be surprised that this happened.

That's not cheating, that's stealing.

FWIW, I completely agree with you, but if this is a low-stakes league and a good friend, you probably could have spoken with him privately about it before causing a bunch of drama with the whole league. However, if after that he refused to reverse it, then by all means call him out publicly.

Yeah, I agree I didn't do the best job of handling it, but I posted it on the message boards so other people would see before the trade and didn't it in a pretty polite manner. Once the trade went through and he played the players (while the other guy didn't even set his lineup) there were several of us who called him out on it. I'm sure he felt ganged up on, which wasn't really my intention, but it forced the trade to get reversed so I guess the end goal for us was achieved.
