I hate rolling the dice on decisions like this especially on TNF. Rivers loves him some Gates in the RZ tho. I'd lean towards the proven veteran vs the unproven first year tight end.

I'd definitely take a "wait and see" approach before throwing him into your starting lineup. Go with Gates. He's a proven TE with a long time rapport with Rivers.

I had a trash pick at the end and picked up Virgil. Was trying to ride the sleeper train on him. Probably should have picked up another QB. Figured I can find a replacement for Brees for his bye week or another few weeks.

So ignore everything BilJ said. Green is a good start especially with the chemistry he has with Trevor Siemian. He force fed him in the preseason and was his favorite target plus that's who Siemian has been practicing with throughout Broncos practices during the time there.

The Chiefs had the best defense vs TEs last season. Gates doesn't look like a good play at all

Gates imo, Green hasn't ever impressed me I'm not expecting much outta him at all this year. Gates is an all time great. Easy decision imo.

But they've been top 7 vs TEs for the past 4 years now. It's gotta mean something. You're looking around 6 points standard for Gates.
