6 races left for the Summer segment and 10 races in the Playoff left for the year. Anyone besides me running low on good picks? I hate the years that only a few drivers dominate the Fantasy board and I run out of good picks early. I have to save at least 1 pick for certain drivers and leave them on the Bench in the hope of getting Q points. My Group A looks great but B and C are down to very slim pickings!

I forget we can switch our picks. But I'm sticking with what I got.

I went through and started back counting a few weeks ago and I like where I'm @ with my B & C drivers.... I will have either Suarez or Jones for all of the last 10, and of the 20 spots in the B group for the last 10 races I'll have Larsen & Elliot for 6 each, then McMurray, Busch, Blaney, & Bowyer left to use as well

No doubt selection management is huge in this game. The 2 schools of thought are 1) do you use whoever at the beginning of the season and build a lead and hope you have enough to maintain that lead or 2) ration your picks and save for the playoffs. I use option 1 and sweat the last few races. I'd rather not play from too far down the list.

Finished 6, 7, 9, and 30 today

As far as strategy I have no idea what I'm doing. But my goal is to be top 15 at end of year.

Another weekend coming up when we get to see practice before our picks lock in! 2 Practices Saturday morning, 9am-10am and 11:30am-12:30pm. The board locks at 4am CDT (?) Sunday and Q will be at 10am with the race at 2pm.

If you don't watch practices, you should. It will give you a little insight as to who is running good times and who needs work. Final practice can be deceiving though. You never know who may be running in Q trim. If a driver makes a lap or 2 with hot times and that's all he runs, chances are he was in Q trim.

I like road races and think one should be added to the Playoffs.

Isn't Charlotte a road race in the Chase?

No. Charlotte is a 1.5 mile oval. The only road tracks that the Monster Energy Cup drivers run are Sonoma and Watkins Glen.

Starting next year. Yes, they'll be using the road course within the oval

Harvick
Kurt B
Bowyer
McDowell

On a positive note I have exactly enough starts to play Truex and Kyle B the rest of the way.

Playoffs are upon us. How is everyone looking on their B & C group Drivers?

I figured the playoffs included 20 starts from the B group and 10 in A & C, So I made sure to keep playoff guys around in B, and kept myself 5 starts for Suarez and 5 for Jones in the C group to hopefully make up a ton of points.

6 starts for Larsen
6 Starts for Elliot
2 Starts for Kurt Busch
2 Starts for McMurray
1 Start for Blaney

That's 17/20 right there, then I still have plenty left for Newman, Stenhouse, Kahne, Dillon, McMurray

Used my last Elliot today. I am happy with the result. B And C Groups getting very thin.

Hmm. Got some picks left for Newman and he did well at Charlotte last race there. Wonder why I haven't picked him much this year?

Oh yeah! Now I remember! First to wreck out of the race. Nice driving. Thanks Newman!
