I always offer the split if it's a coin flip match up. But you have an obvious advantage

I'd go for it all with that squad.

I'm a big time underdog in my SB, I'd feel like I was insulting the dude if I offered a split.

I've done it only a few times when the situation warranted it. Last year I didn't realize the league I joined played a single week championship on week 17. Both teams had players that were going to sit after the first quarter to rest for the playoffs. We split and played for money. I ended up winning but didn't have any regrets because it could have gone either way.

I think you're matchup looks good but I thought mine was really good last week as the 1 seed then Charles and a few other didn't produce.

Since you have the better team, I'd go for it.

I would probably play it out. If I do a chop, it would only be for 200-250 and then play for the rest.

You guys really think Randle is plug in and play if Murray is a no go? I just dont see it. Murray is a special talent. I know the Cowboys O-Line is elite, but just dont see him as a plug and play guy in the championship game.

I took a deal. Payout is supposed to be 350 for 1st and 50 for 2nd.

I had great teams in 2 other leagues and lost almost all chance at big payouts. I had no desire to lose a third and walk away from this season with $50 from playoffs.

We decided on $225 for winner and $175 for loser. I'm pretty happy with that for sure. If I hadn't lose in the semifinals in my two bigger money leagues, I might not would have made the deal.

makes sense. im going for it all

From the looks of it, and based on Yahoo, you have about a 60% chance of winning. Taking this into account, going for it all is worth about .6*800 + .4*100 = $520

Going for the split is worth 300 + 300*.6 = $480

This is only assuming you have a 60% chance of winning

If it was me, though, I'd probably take the split, because $300 is 3x what you put in, and $600 is still a lot of money, and you never know what will happen. But I don't think that's the mathematically best thing to do, and also, not as fun.

Mathematically you shouldn't chop. You'll make money long term due to how much better your team is than his.

But I wouldn't fault you for chopping a portion of the pot.

Yes. Last year Randle got me a couple 15+ point games when Murray was out
