What did you expect?

Pretty much expected this outcome.
I've had nothing better to do today, so this has been mildly interesting at least.
LSU game starts soon, so I'll be gone soon enough

Now explain to me why Green is elite compared to Cruz?

Because AJ Green is far and away the best WR on his team, the offense goes through him, he's younger, less injury prone, and doesn't rely on big plays alone to put up numbers.
Cruz is great but he is injury prone, has another really good receiver on his team in Hakeem Nicks, and relies on big plays to post truly elite numbers which makes him more prone to boom or bust....
Just look at where they were being drafted and tell me why everybody thinks AJ Green is a 2nd rounder and Cruz is a 3rd or 4th rounder?

I own Victor Cruz, I think he is going to have a great year, and the Giants seem like they're going to throw a ton, but AJ Green is the better fantasy player no doubt.

it's not as bad as people are making it out to be but you sure as hell didn't make out like a boss. I like Miller a bit better based on opportunity. I like AJ A LOT MORE though. I can't stand Stevie Johnson as a FF player and would never want him on my team. I consider him and edelmen pretty equal.

I wouldn't have done this trade if I were you at the end of the day.

I first looked at the trade and thought it was horrible, but I was thinking of Edelman's PPR value. It's not a terrible trade but I wouldn't have done it. I like Miller more than Moreno, but IMO Edelman and Johnson are equal. I like Green a lot more than Cruz. I own both in different leagues and it would take a lot more to get Green from me.

I like Vic and Mannings chemistry this year. AJ is amazing, but he's still got a suspect Dalton throwing him the ball. We'll see as the season progresses but I feel pretty good about it. The upside with Miller is what sold me.

After thinking about it, I don't think Cruz is that much worse than Green. I don't usually like making trades when I give up the best player, but this trade wasn't as bad as everyone is acting.

Are you a grown arse man complaining about me saying "frick you" in jest to a bunch of guys talking shite in a forum? Its called banter, do you even internets?

I'm not "complaining". You didn't tell me frick you. It just seemed like you made this thread expecting a pat on the back from everyone and the board agreeing that you made out great. Then when everyone disagreed, you got very angry. No one can predict the future, so hell, you may end up being right. I'm just saying there's no reason to get pissed because people thought you lose. If you are pissed based solely getting sarcasm in response, then I guess I understand.

As for the trade, I think you lost as of now, but there's potential for you to have won it. As Tots said, if Miller plays to his preseason potential, that'll be a big part in you winning this trade. If Moreno doesn't remain the starter, that's a win for you. If Amendola and Gronk take a bunch of targets away from Edelman, that's a win. It's just as of now, you traded a stud 2nd round WR, a starting RB in a good offense, and the receiver with the most receptions so far. Time will tell.

That is common on this board. People come in thinking they did so great, posting a thread expecting praise, only to have fellow fantasy people tell them otherwise. Then they get angry that no one is agreeing with them.

You didn't get any bad players but AJ Green is clearly the best player in the deal and Edelman is Brady's favorite target. You're relying on a lot of what ifs. Philbin already said he wants the running back job to be more of an even time share. Johnson is pretty good but Manuel is a rookie and that's a huge question mark.

You're excited about a running back who will be your 3rd best back in a league with no flex. You may also not even play Stevie Johnson if Eddie Royal keeps producing. So it boils down to you giving up AJ Green and getting Cruz, a fringe rb2 but most likely a flex/rb3 in a league where you don't have a flex, and a fringe WR3/WR4.

It's very possible that Cruz is the only guy you start from this trade so you just traded Green for Cruz.

My favorite part was him ranking the WR's possibly implying he would rather have Royal over Mega.

saw this in my bookmarks, just thought I'd see how much of a boss you made out in this

According to my calculations, you gave

Moreno (99.1 points since the trade), Green (83.9) and Edelman (32.3)

for

Cruz (50.1), Miller (47.5), and Johnson (36.3)

like a boss...boring Wednesday night, don't judge me
