entirely. youll be terrified for 4 weeks about an injury. we always draft after the 3rd preseason game. 2nd at the earliest.

Because of scheduling difficulties, my league will be drafting next Saturday, the 15th. I'm not a big fan of it being so early but that's the only time we could all get together. Live drafts are just so much better than online drafts.

I usually draft the weekend before the season starts on that Thursday.

We are drafting Sunday.
August is one hell of a month for all of us. Weddings, vacation, school starting back up, moving in, moving out, work work work. We could only get everyone available for now.

Yes. There is no reason to draft now. You will enjoy the preseason so much more if you wait to draft the week that the regular season starts. If you don't believe me, just ask the guy who drafted Arian Foster in the first round of a draft that has already occurred.

I like to wait as long as possible. Sure, everyone will share the same risk of injury if you draft early... but it doesn't make it suck any less if one of your studs go down early and out for an extended period of time. Never made any sense to me to draft early... in any fantasy sport especially if money is on the line.

Anything before the pre season or near game 1-2 is too early.
My main league is doing our live draft the last weekend of August, and I'm a little nervous to be honest. Ideal drafting is the week before the season starts.

you get 12 guys with busy weekend schedules, sometimes you just have to do it earlier than later. guys with kids, we have a nurse that works nights, guys going on bachelor parties and end of the summer vacations.

the upside of an early draft is getting really good values on guys that haven't blown up in preseason games or TC yet.

What about the guy that drafts ____in the first round and he breaks his ankle week 1 of the regular season.
Injuries are going to frick people over, there's no avoiding that

We usually do a small fantasy during preseason to determine the draft order. Pick a WR or RB and their yards gained during the 2nd week will set the order of picks.
