Anyone watching this game sees 2 things:

1. Gronk is a beast (known)
2. Steelers DEF is clueless (known)

That's how you go 5-94-3 and could have been more.

Agree 100%. Problem with Gronk is he's a late first round/early to mid second round pick so you better get your money's worth in that trade otherwise you end up with a player you may have been able to draft and another player you would have drafted after Gronk regardless.

Why will his stock rapidly decline over the next three games?

Unfortunately I traded him for AJ Green and Kelce earlier today. Devante Adams was my number 1 receiver so I needed to upgrade. My qb was shitty also.

I'm thinking about it, hard. Delanie Walker is my backup TE in a 12-team league, so I feel like I can really upgrade a RB or WR for Gronk.

Gronk for L. Bell and Calvin?

In all seriousness, I'm thinking of offering Gronk for Le'Veon straight-up. Seeing how strong the Steelers' running game is tonight, I'm thinking Le'Veon would be the winner in that deal, over the course of the season. And as I've mentioned, I'm confident that my backup TE will be a top 10 fantasy TE (which is good enough).

a reasonable trade now gets you a RB1 and WR1, which no player is ever worth alone

I disagree there. Gronk is worth more than any WR1 IMO (except maybe Brown), and he's worth more than all except maybe the top 5 RBs or so.

ETA: But a 1-for-1 trade of Gronk for Bell? I'm down for that.

Production. This was probably his best game of the season in terms of fantasy, so it'll be hard to get as outrageous of a deal for him now vs week 4 where his stat line comes back down to Earth. If he has 400+ yards and 8 TDs by week 4 then he's the MVP, and worth a RB1 and a lower end WR1/ high end WR2.

I drafted him 1st overall because he outscores every te on a weekly basis n most running backs

Gronk going to score 48TDs this year?

Get a grip man, Steelers D couldn't line up if YOU were playing TE. Gronk is completely awesome, but this could very well be his best game of the season.

The biggest issue you're gonna face here is he gives you WR1 numbers and you might have to replace him in your lineup with some guy who's gonna catch 40 passes this year. Is that worth a QB1 and a RB1 and maybe more?

Frick yes it is! Damn, I'd be more than happy to get a top 5 RB for Gronk. But an RB1 and a QB1?! That's a huge win for the person trading Gronk.

I'm not in the market for a QB, so that doesn't apply, but still. . .

Why unfortunately? I think you won that trade. You got a WR1 (a position of need for your team) and a top 5 TE for the #1 TE.

You talking to me? I'm the one thinking about trading Gronk.

If the sarcasm is regarding my comment that Gronk is worth more than any WR1, I think you're wrong. Gronk will outscore the next-best TE by a much wider margin than any WR1 will outscore the next-best WR. That makes him more valuable. In a standard-scoring redraft, Gronk is easily a top 5-7 player.

He is never going to be worth a RB1 and a WR2. That's insane. If you can get that at any point, do it and don't look back

I think the fantasy world collectively underrates the shite out of Gronk. Nobody seems to consider his VORP which has to be the highest in all of fantasy

You'd be on the losing end of that one.
