re: Commissioner added playoff teams overnight Updated

Update for everyone that wanted it.

I raised hell about changing the format the week of the playoffs. He "claimed" that he did not notice that the playoffs were set at four teams (how could he not notice? I noticed first week of the fricking season) which is the ESPN default settings for ten team leagues.

Anyway he claimed he would have changed it to six teams regardless of his place in the league. Which is absolute bullshite. Nobody does that. After more bitching he says he's changing it back to four but he's dropping his entire team to try and frick me over (I would have last waiver claim being in first). Which is also a whole nother level of gay.

We continued bitching at each other and he eventually said he was leaving it at six and I was pissed to the point where I told him to just fricking leave it and I'll beat his dick into the dirt anyway.

So this morning I wake up and have a text saying we're back at four teams.

So there ya go.

I would tell him to give me my money back, quit the league for the year, and he's not allowed in next year. What a douche.

So it has been 6 every year since 2005? It should be 6 then.

Yup, in different territory now that he says it's been 6 for the past 9 seasons. Unless it was voted to change it to 4 at the beginning of the year, I would just have assumed it was 6 too.

I didn't clarify. He's actually new to the league.

7 of 10 people in the league are in a group text together. We were talking about getting it started so he made he league. That I have no problem with. I was typically the commish because I could restart the league and add new people as needed but I hate bugging people to join on time and getting the money sent in so it saves me the hassle. I could never be commish again and be happy. So it's not a jealousy thing.

The problem I had was no change was made until he realized he had missed the playoffs. I get a bye with six teams which I'm fine with. I also prefer a six team playoff. Problem I had was changing the setting the week of the playoffs without asking those who actually made the playoffs.

And for the record I had a change of heart and we voted today before kickoff and I was voted down on the six team so we stuck with four.

You literally go through each setting when you set up the league. It's pretty hard to frick up the amount of playoff teams considering that's one of the most important things

You can't just change something like that in week 13, especially if it isn't an unanimous league decision.

And, if he didn't play last season, how did he know to change it to 6 teams?

There are a few tabs you click through when setting up a league . Assuming you go through each one (I mean, you are the commish setting up the league?) then it's hard to miss.

Under schedule, you do the regular season setup and playoff bracket setup.
