I signed up for fan duel. One $5 league and one $2 league. Anyone here tried it? If so, what was your experience. If you win money do they deposit it pretty quickly?

You'll win money. They are giving it away on both sites!

Prefer draftkings just cause they let you pick an extra flex rather than a kicker. I only played a little bit, and cashed out as soon as I went positive.

they advertise like no other.

wonder how much they've spent?

the local sports talk guys even do a segment on their show here at home now on FanDuel. They usually just talk up Alabama players in the NFL or other former SEC players.

I cut it off for a minute or two every time they do it.

I play basketball. It's fun but you're going to get your arse handed to you if you don't know what you're doing. Imagine there a lot more idiots playing football.

Signing up using the promo code doesn't mean jack shite to Fanduel. It's based off a 4% rate of release so if you deposit $25.00, then you would have to spend $625.00 in order to recover your entire $25.00 pending bonus. Oh, and it's like the most adrenaline rush there is.

My brother said he received his initial deposit back on his CC within 2 days. He received a check with the rest of his winnings. Took about 10 days I believe.

I paid with my paypal account. Does it matter that I didn't use a CC?

Good read before jumping into DFS

quote:

Saahil Sud is a fake-sports apex predator. He enters hundreds of daily contests in baseball and football under the name "maxdalury," and he almost always trounces the field. He claims to risk an average of $140,000 per day with a return of about 8 percent. Sud studied math and economics at Amherst College and took a job in data science at a digital marketing firm before shifting to full-time fantasy. He's now the top-ranked daily fantasy sports player, according to Rotogrinders, a stats site for daily fantasy players. He says he's made more than $2 million so far this year.
Does the influx of new players in September make for easier money? Sud laughs at the question. “A lot easier,” he says. Sud's theory is that the NFL season even makes the action on daily fantasy baseball more lucrative for the sharks, since impatient players are often tempted to rewager money won on Sundays during the next week even if they don't follow MLB closely.

quote:

What Sud does each day doesn’t seem much like sports fandom—or even like much fun. He spends between eight and 15 hours working from his two-bedroom apartment in downtown Boston; the range reflects his uncertainly over whether to count the time watching games as work. During baseball season he puts about 200 entries into tournaments each night, and he can play more than 1,000 times in the weekly contests during NFL season.

It seems like it's slowing down.

How are you doing by the way?

After 9 weeks, I'm up a little over $20
