Anyone ever tried smoking a lobster?

Worth trying? I assume I would be dealing with a very small margin of error between the perfect amount of smoke and over smoking. Heavy on the water as well?

I have smoked lobster tails. Mine have been much better in a water bath or steamed though.

It took me 4 packs of zig zags but I was able to get a few good pulls.

Grilling works great and they pick up the smoke with no problems. Baste with butter the entire time...

I'd grill them. Smoking a lobster does not seem appealing to me. The beauty of a lobster is that sweet meat. Smoking would take that away IMO.

Why would you want lobster to have a smoke flavor? What's next? Smoking a bowl of frosted flakes?
